Colorado
The colder weather is beginning to move in for Colorado; beginning to look a lot like winter. Recent cool weather is really turning heads. In 1961, Denver received four inches of snow on September 4th, segueing into winter. Sea lions at the local Denver Zoo have and increased appetite, meaning they are starting to "pack on the pounds" for winter. There is no saying at this time when the first snow will fall, but once the arctic zoo animals become more active, its time to pull out a heavy coat. Colorado is known for its indecision on weather.
Oregon
The Oregon Energy Facility Sitting Council (EFSC) approved a site certificate for the Shepard's Flat Wind Farm located in North Central counties of Morrow and Gilliam. This approval towards renewable energy will double the state of Oregon's current wind operating capacity and assist in the development of greenhouse gas emission reduction.
